So I think I know what the problem
Is but I can't fix it but let's walk through from beginning

I recently upgraded my old amd fx 950 and asus mobo to a h87 hd3 and i5 4670

I sysprep my windows 7 installation and made the swap it went off mostly without a hitch only had to lose my cd drive as it was an old IDE drive.

Booted it up and got the splash screen for the mobo and a very brief glimpse of a windows cursor. (In vet low res) and then nothing.

I barebones this set up, only 1 stick of ram (which worked in prior board) and onboard gfx (via inboard hdmi port) though I am running off an old Samsung HDTV and not a formal pc monitor

So I am sure it's an issue with the hard drive and trying to boot the sysprep windows 7

But try as I might I can't get into The bios to choose boot device

The keyboard is working the light for numlock comes on when I boot (oddly can't turn num lock off or turn on caps) but as much as I try pressing del or shift + del or delete or f12 I get nothing but a briefest glimpse of a cursor and a blank screen. I tried resetting CMOS on board but nothing changes

Any help please?

Few things to add

I get the single beep confirming mobo is fine every time I boot I can't access any menus but judging how quickly the splash page vanishes when I tap del repeatedly I am thinking perhaps there is an issue with the image, I've booted with onboard gfx and with a amd 7870

The splash screen is in a low res (can't read full text for options as both beginning and end are cut off)

Could it be an issue with using hdmi and a HDTV?

I'd have no problem picking up a new hd and DVD drive (will need one anyway) and doing a fresh install but I rather only do that if it is clearly the hd at fault and I will still have this problem

Haha!!!

I swapped my Radeon 7870 over to my old gt560ti and I was able to fix this problem!!!!

So I solved this!

Oddly without having this thread to clear my head I wouldn't have been able

So thank you imaginary people I've been talking to
