Hi gus,
I used to have a USB wireless netword card, however it broke. This time around, I baught a D-link DWA-566 which is an internal network card. My problem is that when i go to connect to my network, type in the password, it instantly says "Cannot connect to this network".However, I tried connecting to the guest network on my router, and that seems to work. So far, I've replaced the product two times, installed and re installed the drivers, and even downgraded from windows 8 to windows 7.
Link to new adapter : http://www.dlink.com/ca/en/home-solutions/connect/adapters/dwa-566-wireless-n-300-dual-band-pci-express-desktop-adapter
Thanks in advance for helping me guys :)

Solution
Since it's working in guest mode, I suspect it's the problem in network and/or security configuration.
Experiment with different settings: Set AP to work in n or g mode only, try different security modes. Make sure MAC filtering is disabled.

I am currently using my ISP's router, its called the Bell Connection Hub. Link:http://support.bell.ca/_web/internet/guides/ConnectionHub_ReferenceGuide_En.pdf

The protocol as of right now is set to auto b/g/n
and the encryption is WPA2-PSK
