Hi all,

I'm planning to get a new PC for gaming and would be grateful if you could have a look at what I am planning to get!

I play a range of games but my primary need is to run at 2 monitors with one playing vidoes/youtube/movies etc when gaming.... Also.. I'm not sure if the Motherboard I have selected is sufficient.

Edit: Oh and I've love to know what you think regarding windows 8.1 us windows 7 too! Game I currently play are: CS:GO, Path of Exile, Chivalry... My current computer cant really handle anything else, but I plan on FINALLY getting into the Assassin Creeds series and finish bioshock! OH and elderscrolls online when that comes out.. Once again Thanks for any advice you may have!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Lincoln

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 JETSTREAM - 4 GB - (PALIT) - (PCI-E)
Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V LX (Intel Z77) - VGA/DVI/HDMI
Sound Card: Motherboard Integrated HD Sound
Networking: Wireless Network Card 450Mbps (PCI-E)

Operating System #1: Microsoft Windows 8.1 Standard 64 BIT (Genuine DVD & COA Included)
CPU Compound: Arctic Cooling MX-4 Thermal Compound

What is your total budget?
Where are you buying from?

-Drop the thermal compound. The CPU Cooler comes with thermal compound.
-The Corsair H60 isn't very good. Stick with air cooling, like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO.
-Grab 2x4gb of ram over 1x8gb, so you get to utilize dual channel memory.
-Don't go with Ivy Bridge (Socket LGA 1155). It's a dead socket now.

Thanks for the reply,
My Budget is around £1000 +/- £100 ish.
To be honest I'm either just going to lazy it up and buy it from a custom pc website or just pick up the parts using pc part picker.
Noob Question: So I guess I should drop Ivy Bridge for the Intel Hasell version?
Thanks again!

-Newer Haswell chip.
-Should be able to overclock to 4-4.3ghz, but it all depends on your chip.
-Bigger psu for future crossfire.
