ethernet cable wont plug into lan port

The cable wont click into place and it looks loke it needs to go in another mm but it wont go in any farther and none of the pins are broken or bent

The cable worked in my laptop just fine but it doesnt work on my desktop

Still...it might be slight manufacturing tolerance issues. 0.25mm difference. Try a different cable.
