I'm having a problem with my wireless internet connection. Randomly I get extremely slow download speeds around 30 Kbps on most downloads, but I can browse the internet, and even stream websites like youtube totally fine. I'm on a 10 Mbps plan with rogers and with speed test, it is a confirmed 10.8 Mbps. This is where I'm confused. When I download anything its extremely slow. I should be getting much faster downloads?
I a running an Asus RT-N53 dual band router. I am currently connected wifi to my 5ghz band (that only my computer uses) at 300Mbps. It seems the 2.4 Ghz band also has the same slow speed right now. I have an Asus USB N53 on my computer to pair with the router.
I have gone through many of the settings on my router and fiddled for a few hours with no luck.
My computer specs:
