What do I need to do when installing a new graphics card?

I know all the hardware side like putting on the motherboard ect. so basically I current have a GT650 and I am upgrading to a Radeon HD 7870, Do I need to do anything about drivers or do I just plug in and go?

So basically, Unistall GT 650 drivers, Turn off the computer, Switch the cards, Turn computer back on then Install new drivers?
