Will upgrading my processor increase my FPS or will a motherboard?

Well i wanted better frames per second when im recording videos, but i have fps issues. I want a more fps but i don't know how to get more. I was thinking of upgrading my Processor or my motherboard but im not sure?
Pc Specs:
Cpu = Intel i3-2120 3.30 ghz
Ram=4Gb
Gpu=Asus Gefore Gt640 2gb

Well could you give me a link to a processor that will work with my pc?
Im new to this stuff and my pc's a Hp p6-2002uk

I found out that your mobo is FM1 so the highest available processor you can upgrade to is the AMD A8-3870 APU

And for a 100 bucks its a great updgrad.
