Hi there,
Here are the main parts of my upcoming first ever gaming rig:

Gigabyte Z87x-ud3h
Intel i5-4670K
EVGA GTX 770 SC ACX 2Gb(2774-KR)
Seasonic X650 Plus Gold

I was hoping anyone with a very similar build(emphasis on the GPU) could give me an idea of their experience with this GPU/CPU/Mobo combo. I've been reading a lot of Nvidia driver forums lately, seen plenty horror stories about cards seemingly broken by recent drivers. Sometimes the whole pc gets crippled. Some guys said it appears the drivers try to bump the performance with unstable voltages, and many cards unable to handle it get damaged permanently. Just wanted to know:

1) What drivers are you on? How do you recommend they should be installed(DDU/Driver sweeper?)?
2)Do you use Geforce experience? Do you recommend it?
3)What's the performance like on your rig? I intend to play Skyrim, Metro Last Light, Far Cry 3 and Arkham Origins(among others).
4)Have you encountered any of the problems recently plaguing Nvidia users? How did you solve them?

I know not very technical but just looking for a headstart since my monitor still not arrived. Becoming anxious about the gpu in particular, wondering if the 280x/290 would've been smarter!

Thanks in advance for the help

my build is similiar but i haven't experienced any problems with any drivers. to install them i just click on the nvidia driver. im also pretty sure that nvidia doesnt bump up voltage with their cards. as for geforce experience i dont use it often but it is very useful for recording gameplay without taking fps hits. i dont have a shield so i cant try streaming and idk about the game optimizations, doesnt seem too useful. but it does alert you when new drivers are available. i dont play any of those games so i cant compare performance

Thanks for the information, what driver version are you on?
