Buying a full hd tv, any suggestions?

looking to buy a full hd tv, needs to be around 40inches, with at least 2 hdmi ports.

no idea about whats good, and dont really have a clear budget, so suggest me something good, but not too expensive.
 
Solution
Samsung, Panasonic, Sony, LG all make good TVs at reasonable prices. Have a look in a local store and see which ones you like.

Thanks for the suggestions, i dont think i would go for a 3yr old model though, so can someone suggest me something from 2013-2012

and i dont think i need 3d, unless theres reasons i dont think of.

40 inch HDTV should have a price range of $200 to $400. It is always a bad idea to rush into buying one. Just check them out at the shops and see if it is cheaper online. I usually buy the open box ones and hope that it burns out while still under warranty. Or get a lower end model of a quality brand and get the extended warranty
