Here is a link to the build

Case's Cooling System:
-Top: 120 mm fan x 2 (optional)
-Front: 120 mm red LED fan x 1, 140 mm fan x 1 (optional)
-Rear: 80/90/120 mm fan x 1 (optional)
-Side: 120mm fan x 1 (optional)
-Bottom: 80/90/120 mm fan x 1 (optional)

If I don't need to fill every slot I would prefer not to, but I'm a little concerned with the GTX 770 (1150MHz OC) getting a little hot so wanted to make sure I have proper ventilation.

I personally would add the 2 top fans and the rear fan, but you could get away with 2 top or 1 top 1 rear.

top/rear are typically exhaust fans, right? first time building a PC so don't know for certain. But should I add any intake fans?

I don't think it will make a lot of difference. The other fans will draw air from the bottom and side vents, so you should be alright. If after you try it out and see you need more air flow add the bottom fan as intake.

So what you're saying is I could probably get away with the 120mm front fan that comes with it, and then 1 top 1 rear?

and is this a pretty good fan for that job? http://
