Hi guys,
Been having some problems with my dgn2200.

I've noticed that, if just 2 devices are connected to the router (either lan or wireless) and of course access to the internet, download speed drastically decreases making even surfing the web a pain in the butt.
I don't understand whether it's a low quality internet connection issue or it's the router that isn't good enough to handle multiple devices connected to it that simultaneously use the Internet

I even enabled the QoS feature, deleted all the preset rules and added all the mac addresses of the devices we have in our house (my pc set to highest and all the other pcs, smartphones and so on to low).
I have a 7mb connection (the download speed is stable at 850-900kb/s) but it drops down to 200 or even less when another computer uses the net, not necessarily a big file download.

Does anyone know why this happens? Should I just buy a new router?

Its your internet connection. The devices are basically fighting for bandwidth. With each connection also comes more overhead on the traffic.
Go through each computer and remove anything that might be using network: weather apps, autoupdate programs, etc.

I have a 25Mb connection and can view Netflix, game, download and surf all at the same time with no real interruptions.

That sucks... we cant even watch 2 different streaming movies without lags... and i mean 360p and 480p video resolutions. Online gaming is even worse.. unbearable... when others use the internet.

So it's not a matter of quality but of bandwidth.... no 20mb connection in my area yet
