I can't get my ps3 to work on my samsung monitor

I've tried everything from turning it completely of amd reseting it to changing the resolution and nothing works I still get a no signal

You could either check if their is something wrong with your HDMI/Component lead or put it into safe mode (tutorial: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/faq/id-1753027/enter-ps3-safe-mode.html) and seeing if it shows up there.
