Hello Everyone,

I have a hard budget of $700 dollars (increased from $600) to build a PC that can last me a few years. After hard negotiation with a local vendor, I have the following components ready to be purchased. It's a bit over budget so let me know what I can change out to reduce cost and still maintaining performance.

CASE: IN WIN GRone White $80
CPU: Intel Core - i5 4670 $150
CPU COOLER: Cooler Master Hyper TX3 $15
RAM: DDR3 1600 CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2X 4 GB) $75
PSU: Corsair RM 650 PSU $85
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120G $100 <- I really want this.
HARD DRIVE: 1TB Seagate SATA 6.0Gb/s $80
VIDEO CARD: XFX HD7950 Black Edition $120
MOTHERBOARD: MSI Z87 G45 Motherboard $100

Grand Total is 805 + Tax.

Will this PC run most modern games on high? I do not overclock anything I use. Let me know if there is something that could be swap out for a more fitting component.

Thanks a lot everyone.

My question is, how are you landing an i5-4670 and a Radeon HD 7950 for so cheap?

if you don't overclock, no need to a z87 motherboard, you could get away with a B75 board.

something like this (its mATX)

also, this power supply is solid and cheaper.

saves you a few bucks, nothing major thou.

I recently found out my company offers discounts when I shop at certain vendors.

Oh I like the PSU suggestion. I think I will go with that instead. As for the mobo, i'm afraid a MATX would look weird in a Full tower case. Is there a board you recommend for none overclocking and is also regular ATX in form?

Looks like I need to find a job at your company... lol

Also, if you're not overclocking there's little reason to have a CPU cooler. Especially considering that you have an i5-4670 and not an i5-4670k, it doesn't seem like overclocking is really going to be for you. I have an FX-6300 and I didn't have a CPU cooler other than the stock HSF for a while, and my temps were fine when I didn't overclock, and I'm almost positive that an FX-6300 has a higher TDP than an i5-4670.

theres not many motherboards much cheaper that i see. i do agree with deus, no need to a cpu cooler.

The stock Intel cooler will be enough for all but the most intense O/C in my opinion. I've had my i5 3500k OC'd to 4.3 Ghz on the stock cooler for over two years without any temp or stability issues.

Thanks everyone. I went with a mATX, a XFX 550W psu and stock fan. Going to the store now!
