Random critical message?

I use Coretemp for monitoring all 8 cores on my AMD 8 core CPU. I was just sitting there on facebook, cpu % at like only 1-4%, at like 25c. Then, randomly, it said core 7 was critical even though it was at 27c. Should I be worried? Note - I just started using speedfan and have the cpu fan at 50% load and 50% idle. My idle temps are around 20-30c, and load temps are about 55-65c. Should I worried?

Forgot to mention - after activating speedfan I played bf4 at 60c average, high being 62c. This was fine for about 3 hours. Was facebooking at 25c for about 30 minutes. Also, a few seconds after the critical message it shut down, and rebooted absolutely no problem. Its working now for about 10 mins, so far no problems. Was it just a glitch?

Alright - one more unrelated question for you, Jay. Before my I started using speedfan, my cpu fan would spin like CRAZY loud, almost as loud as a vacuum. My temps with that are about 50c (when its spinning like mad), then after making my cpu fan sit at 50%, it would be much quieter and ran at 60avg under load. Is THIS okay?

Seems odd that it does that, normally it should progressively get faster as temps increase.

There was 1 thing i just thought of, the thermal paste under the heatsink might not of been spread evenly causing a certain side of the CPU to be much hotter than the other.
And the temperature probe might be on the cooler side.

Just an idea but it may be possible considering how large the actual CPU is.
