I'm going to be building my first desktop, as I didn't want to buy a pre-built one (not as much fun) and I have done a TON of research but wanted some final thoughts before I set out for this.
One is an AMD build and one is an Intel build. one with Nvidia and the other with AMD, the new R9 series. Any help or suggestions/ changes (i.e graphics cards) would be wonderful and appreciated! Thanks guys

See if you can find a 650 Ti boost with 2gb instead of 1gb

this one's cheaper and has 2gb vram
I would be happy with that card if it had a fairly stable price. It's only on sale for $139 right now but is usually $179 without its discount and rebate. I won't be buying the components just yet, christmas coming up and working and such, but will probably buy at the beginning of the new year.

i think amazon has a couple but i dont know if the deals are good. I generally prefer to shop with them any way over newegg. the whole warranty and returns process is a lot more complicated with them vs amazon i have had to replace motherboards before and it just took for ever. where as with amazon i just click a few buttons and print off a shipping label and drop it off.
