Hi,
Recently I just bought a new graphics card,
Asus Geforce GTX 670 DirectCU II
And it requires two 6 pin plug ins from the power supply.. But the problem is my power supply doesn't have an 6 pins that aren't being used... It came with a connector like this
molex_pci-e.jpg

And I've tried plugging in the 6 pin into the graphics card and each 3 pin into another.. And I still can't use it! Do I need another PCI-E connector for it to work? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
System:
AMD Quad-Core processor 3.8GHz
RAM 8GB
PSU 500W (not sure what brand)

Not a problem. Typically if a PSU does not include the cables its probably best not to use it for a higher end card like the 670 you are better off in the end going with a new psu (my...
You have stated that the card requires two 6 pin connectors and you've connected one , so yes you do need another 6 pin connector. Those adaptors are not the best thing to be using especially two of them , you will be much better off with two 6 pin connectors from the power supply.

So just get a new PSU with PCI-E connectors? What wattage would you recommend?

If your going to stay with one video card then the PSU that you get needs to have the two 6+2 Pci-e pin connectors. If you plan on adding a second video card later then you can plan for that now by getting a PSU with four 6+2 Pci-e connections and enough watts to run both cards.

The 6+2 cables means you can choose to use just the 6 pin or add the extra 2 pins for an 8 pin connector.
