Hi,
All of a sudden my computer wont shut down. I will go to windows, hit shut down and it will power off. If I move the mouse it wakes up just like it does in sleep mode. Also if I hit the power button ( which is set to shut down, not sleep) it also does the same thing.

Asus pz77 v pro mobo with the latest software.

thanks

Solution
Check your bios settings, there should be some setting in there too that lets ethernet or other device to wake up the computer.
There is another option with the mouse, which is in device manager, double click your mouse and power management, disable
allow this device to wake up computer. Once this is disable, you won't be able to wake up your computer from sleep.
