Windows 8.1 Only detecting hardrive, Please help!

Hello, so I just got my computer running. Installed everything etc. I went to download a game and notice I didn't have a different hardrive I only had my ssd. Was wondering how I would make windows detect them or does it have to do with something on the bios.
My rig.
GPU: 780ti
CPU i7-4770k
ram: 16gbs
Mother board: Maximus vi formula
All help is appreciated

Check my computer > manager. not sure where it might be in win8. Had to format my storage hdd in windows 7 to display it in devices window. I also have an ssd and the new 1tb hdd wasn't showing, until i discovered it was listed in manager under storage devices. Clicked on it, formatted which only took a minute and was placed to be used in devices manager.
