Computer wont connct to moniter, need help!

I recently got done connecting al the chordes to my build, everything turns on fine and dandy. all the fans work and the led on the mobo turns on. But the computer dosent connect to the moniter. I dont think its a huge problem but I need some help finding out whats wrong! please, someone help!

with some intel motherboard when the bios is new it set the primany display to auto. when it set to auto the mb can post to the onboard video or the gpu. try powering up the mb with the video cable connected to the mb see if you see the post screen. if you dont. power off and remove the gpu and see if it comes on. if no video take one of the dimms out. if it posts with no gpu and one dimm go into the bios and see if you need to update it. make sure on the mb you have the eight pin power plug conected and used the standoffs to keep the mb from shorting out.

Hello... What monitor do you have? what type of cable are you using? Where are you plugging the cable ENDS into?

not sure what the moniter is but its hp. I tried both plugging in the gpu and mobo and both dont work. :(

i found out that my ram was not in all the way :p , but now when i turn it on it brings me to the command prompt with the message: Map: cannot find reqired name

Press esc in 5 secons to skip startup.nsh

then it does nothing. any ideas?

go into the bios if your hard drive have nothing on them set your cd rom has the first boot device put the windows cd into it and install windows..
