black screen when i start my pc

hey my name is Amantle one day i was playing one of my favorite games then i wanted to switxh my pc of but is was freeze then i swich it off on the plug after i swicth it on the logo of window xp doesnt apear the screen goes black

Ok do you see the original post? its the screen that pops just before windows does.. Its usually a splash screen for whatever computer manufacturer pumped it out off the express line.
Do you have a third party (ie pcie vid card) or is your vid card on the motherboard?
I need to know a little bit more about the situation.
