RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-530SS 530W

EVGA 500 B 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified 500W

I really don't know anything about PSU's. I plan on getting a Intel Core i5-4570 with a new 1150 motherboard. My old PSU doesn't have a 8-pin atx connector its gonna need for haswell CPU's. For now I plan on either using the integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600 or an old Nvidia Geforce GTS 250 to play maybe some games on low settings. I also plan on using 3 older sata hard drives and 8gb ddr3 memory. Eventually I might buy a new video card, but as of now I more so want get a PSU that will work for around $50 or under. If the PSU also works for a future medium level video card even better. Also does the PSU quality matter if I get a microATX motherboard or a ATX motherboard?

Was wondering if those PSU's are good enough for what I need right now and which is better. Thanks for any help.

Rule number one in buying PSU's never buy one that has the word 'max' in it. It's probably cheap. (Enermax being an exception).

That evga is a good unit. 8.7/10 by Johnny Guru (a well known psu testing site). Here is their review http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=...

Thanks I actually can get the EVGA one for around $43 shipped with the tax from Amazon. Also $15 rebate afterwords. So its the cheaper priced of the 2 as well from the deals I can find.

as the evga has 40a on a single rail its a better option for a single higher end gpu config.
the other 1 is for powering a dual low end gpu sli config.

EVGA over the Raidmax anyday. EVGA has 3 yr warranty and is 80 PLUS Bronze Certified (which is good). The Raidmax isn't even 80 PLUS certified, so I would avoid that PSU if I were you.

Here is a list of a few that I'd consider.

I usually stick with Antec, Corsair, Seasonic, PCP&C, & XFX for my PSU needs. They are generally better built and usually have good warranties to back them up.

80 PLUS standard, for reference.
