Will a graphics card increase fps in gaming?

I am wondering if a my graphics card a GT640 1GB should be upgraded to a GTX660 2GB, should this increase my gaming performance and fps?

Haha but im only 12 and im not sure my parents would know what to do but i could try i guess, I dont have any equipment for it, would i need to to take the motherboard out of the case and do i use anti static bands and stuff? lol

First off, the GTX 660 can run BF4 at 60 fps, 1080p.
Secondly, I'm 12 when I first build my PC. That was last year.

Installing a GPU takes around 4 minutes, then you have to download the drivers then that's it.
(Do GT 640 drivers work with GTX 660's?)
 
All the equipment you need is a philips (+) screwdriver and a pair of dry hands. Anti-static bands is just to eliminate static, which can be done by simply touching a large metal object (it has to be conductive). Search youtube for some videos about it. Do it yourself and save some money.
