Hey guys, i just had a rig assembled for me at a friend's place and everything worked fine on it when we connected it to a big screen. All i was missing was a monitor, so i picked up a hanns g 20 in that had all my basic needs, only downside is it for some reason only has VGA. I plugged it in and set it up, it turns on and what-not, i just get no signal and it goes straight to a power saver black screen. The cables are in right and it's brand new...just tryin to figure out what's goin on here. Is there something obvious that I can do, or is my vga port just messed up or what?

Hello Skippy, before I can further suggest let me ask this, Does the light of the keyboard on, when you press your numlock? I just want to figure out if, just the monitor is off or the system unit cannot detect it.

Hi Skippy, it seems that your monitor's vga port is having a problem. It's the same with my server's PC but in my case my monitor was able to boot till in windows then blinks off. Try to send it in an electronic repair shop as I did, they can fix it. However, to be sure try your monitor to another system unit first.
