I'm planning to upgrade some parts of my current build and i cant decide about building an AMD or an Intel system a had Intel for some years and it was really good, i'm thinking the FX for better multitasking...

The parts :
AMD - Intel
CPU: AMD FX 8320 - Intel Core i5-4570
Mobo: Gigabyte 970A-UD3P - Gigabyte H87-HD3
RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 8GB (2x4GB) 1600MHz Low Profile

For the gpu i have the Radeon R7 260X.

If i get the FX i will oc to 8350 stock a have already a cpu cooler.

Solution
With mantle being more utilized and multi-threaded gaming becoming the norm I'd have to say go AMD. Good call on the OC for the 8320. otherwise I'd say go with the fx 8350 which has the same performance as an overclocked fx 8320 for $30 more. Additionally, DDR4 RAM is slated for consumer use in 2014 so I'd say stick with the RAM and MOBO you have for as long as you can because they will soon be obsolete. The place where the AMD FX 8 core CPUs shine is when you are multitasking, so again good call.

Personally I'd do whatever I could do for the least amount of money in regards with RAM and MOBO because of needing new one's within a year from now, while getting a CPU that costs a little more than a 8320 because that $30 extra for that...

Yes i already have the 260x. The difference for the two builds is 30€.

The AMD motherboard is Better as it has:
- 2 PCI Express slots, nicely laid out 3 spaces apart, good for Crossfiring two R7 260X
- 4 DIMM slots so, you could add more RAM, 8Gb is about minimum these days, you may want 16Gb in future

While the Intel MB only has
- 2 DIMM slots (no room for more RAM)
- 1 PCI Express 3.0 (so, you can Not add a second R7 260X...)

Choice of Intel vs AMD isn't too key, fairly close in speed but I would NOT go with the Intel MB you have currently select for reasons stated above.

Be sure to get a solid 650watt PSU, Corsair, Antec, or Seasonic to be ready for expansion.....

The reason for the upgrade is the new games that i cant run, multitasking and programming (i have a very old cpu core 2 duo e4500 oc 2.9ghz and 4gb ram) I'm on a budget and i need a (cpu, ram, mobo, hdd and case) i already have a psu thermaltake 500w and i gpu Radeon R7 260X cause my old gpu had problems with cooler and they send me this one for the price. The ram,hdd and case are the same so the question is AMD FX or i5? The AMD build is 437,30 € and the Intel i5 454,38 € for the 4440 or 464,38 € for the 4570 (cpu, mobo, ram, hdd, case). If i get the FX 8320 i will oc to the 8350 stock clocks 4-4.2ghz.

Maybe getting another. Again, if I was you I'd try and sell that 260x and put that, as well as what you save on the mobo and ram, towards a 270x. You could milk all that for probably about 3 years from now until you absolutely need a new Mobo and RAM. save, save, save the future is here.
