I notice that you are using a B75 chipset motherboard (non-overclocking) and a 4670k cpu (overclocking). You might want to change either your mobo if you plan to overclock (look for a Z87 series mobo) or your cpu if you are not planning to overclock (llok for a non-"k" series cpu) Also, if you plan to overclock, you will want to get an aftermarket cpu cooler such as the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo (or Plus), both reasonably priced and good for light to moderate oc'ing.

Thanks for the speedy reply, I think I will replace the motherboard but will get the aftermarket cooler later as i don't intend to overclock straight away.
I hate to be a pain, but is everything else compatible?

Edit: Also would that cooler be any good for an overclock to something like 4ghz?

You can use B-75 or B-85 mobo. And buy Xeon 1230V2 or LGA 1150 Xeon 1230V3 and you do not need overclocking.
Xeon is fast enough with stock clocks.

Do it like this. Just buy SSD + maybe cpu cooler for more silent build.

or if you want to OC. Then like this.

This is good cpu cooler.

And SSD is good buy for new build.

Bigger is better.

Intel xeon is like i7 for a price i5.
http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Xeon+E3-1...

It do have 8 treads + HT
No iGPU so needs video card. But for gaming build video card is must have anyway.

But I do not know anyone who would not want i7 over i5 :)

your build is ok once you match up your cpu/mobo. And yes, the Hyper 212 will let you get to 4 GhZ oc. My only other concern is the power supply, recommend getting something other than Cooler Master. Look for something from Seasonic, XFX, Corsair (except the CX series) or Antec. You can use this list for reference:

There is not much point to OC 4.0GHz. Xeon is as fast as the 3570k @ 4.5GHz.
So it is better buy than modest OC build. And u do not need OC able mobo. So its all save.
No need for expensive cpu cooler.

This means that xeon is better if you do not OC more than 4.5GHz. If you go over 4.5GHz then OC build is better.

if you are building a gaming rig, the i5 3570k or i5 4670k would be the way to go
