what power supply for my system

ok i got a computer i built in the last few months here is the specs

Asrock z77 motherboard
intel i5 3570k processor
corsair vengeance x2 4gb ddr3 ram
corsair 120gb ssd drive
LiteOn IHAS122 22X dvd rw

here is the thing im not buying a graphics card till January/February 2014 because i dont get payed that much and Christmas is coming up expensive month of the year so im gunna run on the onboadrd graphics for a while

the graphics card i want is a XFX 7870 2GB Graphics card im gunna buy in January/February 2014

what PSU wattage would u recommend all im worried about if that pc will get to much wattage because their is no graphics card and it will blow every thing

unless it is a low quality psu, you don't have to worry about providing too much power to the system. Something like the corsair cx 500w, would be good enough for the projected system. But there are many other solutions as well

you want alot more watts than recemended that way the psu runs quieter, cooler and more energy efficient get around a 750w that way you can expand in the future and make sure you get a good brand ie corsair, evga or xfx good luck :)

Your psu won't blow anything. The more, the better. If you manage to get a gold or better certificate would be very good. For your rig with the 7870, use a 600W (or greater) power supply. According to AMD website, you can go with a 500w for a single gpu, but I don't recommend it, since you leave no space for future upgrades.
