is it possible to use an old cisco e100 as a wifi device? i the community i live-in has access to free wifi internet___i ask this question due to unsteady flow of community free wifi to my pc, thus making it difficult to get homework accomplished____so i figure, why not try to use the cisco as a wifi antenna....pc recognize the cisco wifi connect w/a yellow /!\ _ yet still won't let me continue to the comm.wifi i'm originally wanting....
am i crazy for thinking my old cisco e1000 could be used like a wifi antenna?

It cannot be used as a wifi antenna, but it can be configured as a wireless AP or even better try this:

I would flash dd-wrt firmware onto it (since it is supported) and then try it in one of the bridged modes like THIS for the best chance at improving your signal.
