I really need some help, this is my current setup:
P67A GD65 B3
i7 2600k O/C to 4.2ghz
8Ghz DDR 1333 DDR 3
Cooler Master Real Power M850 PSU
MSI GTX 560 ti twin frozer Sli
27" Acer 3D LED with Nvidia 3D vision
I feel that if I have to I pay a huge amount of cash for games (+/-R600 here in S.A) I want to play it on the max possible resolution to get the best value for money.
Unfortunately my GPUs are overheating and I suspect that they will die pretty soon so I need some advice on upgrading, do I go for a 760 sli (2gb / 4gb) setup or a single 780ti 3gb? I need it to last for 24 months before I can upgrade it again.
When will my CPU / RAM become the bottleneck?
Any other suggestions are welcome, but the GPU upgrade is priority at the moment.
Thanks

Solution
I would go with a single GTX780 the Ti is not worth the price difference. Your CPU and Ram is still fine and will be for a while.
^+1.
If you're going to use the 3D (I assume so) the GTX780 looks the best option, if you're not going o use 3D a GTX770 might be a better choice.
Sounds like the cards are due for a clean and possible stripdown to replace the thermal paste-over time the OEM pastes can go hard and lose there thermal conductivity, if you do decide to do this, use a premium paste like Arctic Silver, not some no brand white goo!

Thanks rolli59, I'm glad to know that the rest of my setup will last for a few more AAA titles! Your suggestion of a gtx 780 also makes my bank balance smile! I can get a 780 winforce for R2350 cheaper than a ASUS 780ti!
Thanks coozie7, I have replaced the thermal paste on the original setup but unfortunately the fans on my Twin Frozer cards seized up a couple of weeks ago... I now use two 120mm fans per card ( a real make shift setup) just to keep them semi cool, this works for browsing but as soon as I start playing BF4 the temps max out at 100 degrees.
I think the best plan of action would be to upgrade, and for now the 780 windforce looks to be the no 1 choice.

Just checking, most know about cleaning, not everyone knows about the TIM issue.
You also seem familiar with that oldest of tricks: the Case Fan Modification.
Agree totally with your last sentence.
BTW, have you removed the old fans totally? You should be getting decent temperatures with those case fans installed, another option would be to cut the blades off using a pair of nail clippers (I'm also familiar with the case fan modification). ;)

Yup the old fans have been removed completely, I also removed the aluminium bits so that the cooling fins are completely exposed, 2x 120mm coolermaster SickleFlow fans are blowing onto each of the cards and 4 fans extracting out of the side of the case all @ 2000rpm. I don't think I can do more when it comes to air flow with my current setup.
I think these 560ti cards did a pretty good job, I basically ran them for 24/7 for 3 years & played games at max resolution till BF4 arrived. The Sli setup served me well from the time of the 6600GTs till now, but I think it's time to see how a single top of the range 780 GPU performs. Thanks for the rocking advice guys, Much appreciated!
