Hello, so I have this old 32" LG TV that has an old HDMI input protocol. I want to use it in my GPU (a 770) as my third screen. The GPU detects the TV and it's supposedly fine, but I get no output image in the TV.

So the first thing I thought, was defective screen. Tried using an old laptop, works fine. Tried using a newer laptop, does not work. Tried swapping HDMi cables, and does not work either.

I have a dual-monitor setup on my PC, and I want to use this TV to watch movies, anime and all that from my bed.

I was wondering what are the possible solutions for this, should I use an HDMIxHDMI adapter, or maybe something simpler?

Thanks in advance :)

Both my XL2420T and my HP w1907 works fine. Whenever I plug any new devices (retina iPad, new GPU, new laptop) it doesn't work at all. Whenever I plug an older device (like a 2009 HP laptop) it works perfectly.
