Hi Guyz .
So I'm building this non gaming rig for my little brother: Asus Sabertooth 990fx with AMD Fx 8350 and ASUS R7260X
I know that Sabertooth 990fx supports 1866MHz (max) but I can get THIS kit (used) for a really great price .
Question is : Can they run stable on this rig ?
Thank you for any help/replay
:)

Solution
Ah, with that kit it is doubtful that you can get full speed out of four modules, I have heard of (yet not seen) four running at 1866MHz with that set up yet most are reporting limits of 1600MHz (what I was considering) or 1333MHz when running four ram modules with an 8350 - you should be able to use those modules but it may be at a reduced speed. Thanks for the info and article :)

well the price that I get for this 4*4 kit is a little more than a brand new Corsair Vengeance (2 x 8GB 1600 9-9-9-24 cl9 1.5) kit , If that 4*4 kit runs stable at reduced speed of 1866MHz I think I should go for that . right ?

very much appreciated for all your help man :)

Legenda in Aeternum
Amd's MCs are basically designed for two sticks, so the 2x8GB is best option to try and hope for 1866 (slight possibility of 2133 with a decent OC and voltage adjustments, 4x4 is a strong possible at 1600 with 1866 slightly less, haven't seen one yet at 2133. When you first install will prob run ...so-so OK at the mobos default of 1333 - so look for DOCP, EOCP or XMP in BIOS, enable that and try at 1866 and let us know, will help w/ voltage/timing adjustments if needed
