Components:
Main computer - mine, Main hard drive, video hard drive, ssd
Grandmas computer - main hard drive, secondary hard drive

First problem
Grandmas computer wouldn't boot, not even to bios, stating to insert bootable material and restart.

So I went down, after buying secondary harddrive, installed both her main and secondary drive into my pc. cloned her main drive to the secondary drive. then set her main drive to my boot drive in my computer. It loaded to windows and then came acros errors and windows attempted several times to repair.

Questionable that her pc wouldn't get that far, yet same drive in my computer and no problem with windows trying to fix itself. So while on my computer grandmas main drive has windows repairing itself (which it never did successfully) I went and installed my main drive (which worked fine) into her pc and started it up. Same thing, wouldn't boot, even to bios, telling me to instal bootable media and restart.

So I went and reinstalled my main drive back into my computer and attempted to boot, id get to bios and once past bios it said invalid drive.

So I went from thinking drive failure, to psu/motherboard failure on my grandmas computer, since hers wouldn't boot even to bios yet mine had no problem, then I was thinking somehow her computer shorted out something on my hard drive and that's why it was faulty.

I can connect all harddrives to my laptop via usb box and see all my files, but it will not boot, attempt to boot, attempt to fix itself.

I installed my main drive back into my computer, and put windows 8.1 disk in and attempted to reinstall windows. I get errors: we coulnt create a new partition or locate an existing one, so I format it and get error: we couldn't format the selected partition. This is with my main drive-mechanical. If I use my secondary drive-mechanical I get same errors.

I went to best buy and picked up a Toshiba q series ssd, and attempted to install windows on that, thinking fresh drive shouldn't be a problem, rma my other drives. With a few attempts I successfully installed windows onto my new ssd. Booted into windows, and started installing drivers/updates. Within a few minuets my screen flashed, and my taskbar was empty all desktop icons gone and I couldn't do anything. I restarted the computer, and after bios when windows would start I get a green screen and it stays there. I tried restarting several times and it just goes to that green screen after bios. So I reinstalled windows on the ssd, got it to boot successfully, just let it sit there without doing any updates or anything, and again within a few minuets, the screen flashed, and lost ability to do anything. control alt delete nothing, no icons to hit, no metro, nothing. so again I restarted, and get that same green screen.

I left the green screen on overnight thinking maybe it was updating or something, but woke up to the same green screen sitting there. But now every attempt to reinstall windows has failed. Several different errors, retried my mechannicals again, went to best buy replaced ssd with a new one as well as picked up a fresh 500gb wd blue. Still cant get windows to instal on anything. I've got 6 drives, 3 new since original problem with grandmas computer, which I haven't touched since my harddrive failure.

The newest errors I get while attempting an install on ssd are, this computers hardware may nnot support booting to this disk, couldn't create new partition or locate and existing one, or this drive is not valid.

Someone please give me some kind of direction or answer.

I had thought maybe a virus affecting bios, as it would've originated in grandmas computer, then transferred to my harddrive, which I then put back into my computer, allowing it to go onto my bios. But realize this is a huge stretch, but its the best I can come up with.

Otherwise it seems the problem with my grandmas computer, is unrelated to mine.

I'm out of ideas on how to fix mine, tried everything I can think of, every way of installing windows on any of the drives. Taken them out and reformatted and partitioned by laptop via usb box, put them back into pc and just errors all the way around. Also both ssd and last mechanical are brand new hours old, still cant install windows on. Please help

I've just updated bios to the new version, gone into bios to confirm as well as go through every single bios setting to verify everything is correct. Yet rebooted and got into windows install and am still getting error :

'windows cannot be installed to this disk. this comuters hardware may not support booting to this disk. ensure that the disks controller is enable in the computers bios menu'

Ive checked rechecked read the entire manual several times over. as far as I can tell bios is set up perfectly for this system.

Someone please help direction or answer
