the P4 1.5 GHz is painfully slow and I want to upgrade to at least 2.2 or 2.4 Ghz P4 that is compatible with the BIOS

With a BIOS update, the Intel SL7EY Pentium 4 @ 2.8GHz should work as i think it is the fastest one your PC supports.

You could get a dedicated graphics card to improve video performance a bit.

btw I have PCI evga GeForce 8400 GS
I Pulled one from an old dell and it works perfectly. I am in fact writing this reply from this computer. everything is much faster

Thats good, the CPU upgrade should make it quicker aswell.

Just remember to update the BIOS with the link i provided above before you install the new CPU.

All you need to do know is wait/ or buy the CPU and then wait.

You will have to replace the thermal paste between the CPU and heatsink so make sure you have some.
