Hi guys

Sorry for the lock subject line, my problem isnt like a everyday one

So for the past year (a year project) I have been building me PC into my desk, I must say it is DAMN awesome, but now I have run into an issue

I have a headset with a mic, but I never use is since the quality of sound from the speakers is unbelievablely horrible, so I wnet ahead and removed the mic from the headset...

So when I try to solder the wires back together (a mono mic), but now when I solder is together, I connect it to my mic jack in my pc, and nothing, just lots of horrible noises comes from the speakers (not the headset one, different one xD) when I press the red wire (red & gold wires), it doesnt matter if they are connected or not, when I connect the jack to the pc, I press the red wire and a bunch of noises come out...

But anyway, I did not damage the mic, so I dont unnderstand why it wont detect and pickup any sound, any suggestions???

Solution
Hello... it's pretty simply 2 wire connection, the wires are thin and small, it's possible to "break" the wires while stripping them, or short them together while soldering them... or the Microphone is damaged in another way.

Thank you for your reply...

Do you have any idea why after soldering both wires back together, it doesnt detect any sound?
