Hi everyone, so I'm about to get myself a low budget PC and I would like to know how much would it be possible to overclock with it.

MB: ASRock 970 Pro3 R2.0 or MSI 970A-G46
CPU: AMD FX-6100
PSU: Enermax NAXN ENP500AGT 500W
RAM: Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB 1600MHz (will upgrade to 8GB later)
GPU: probably 650Ti Boost from Gainward*
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

I'm getting the FX-6100 only because my friend upgraded recently and is willing to sell it for about $50.
I need to know which one of these MB is better for overclocking and if the PSU is strong enough.

*also what are your opinions about Gainward? Are their GPUs reliable?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I've never heard of Gainward, but their site looks good and professional. The one you are buying looks as if it may run loud under full usage. If you are picky about acoustics (I am!), you want either a different card or aftermarket cooling.

Power supply is easily enough for your system, though Enermax's site says it is at its end of life.

I have had an FX 6100 and I managed a 3% overclock on a bad motherboard with an OK cooler. Your motherboards are much better than my old one, so you might get 7 or 10 percent.
