i just bought a new pc and it has 2 ssd's in raid 0

it has windows 8 already installed on these drives, before i bought it the guy showed it me working and there were no problems. i then took it home in the car and am now getting this problem.

my guess is either cables have come loose or the bios has reset and so there is no raid??

i checked the cables and they seem ok, so im not sure what to do, any help is appreciated.

Raid 0 is striped, the data is spread between both drives. You will need both drives connected in order for your system to work.

Assuming you have an optical drive, 2 boot options is correct. one for the system drive (your raid0 ssd's) and one for the optical drive.

General practice is to set the optical drive as the first boot option.

If i set the optical drive as first boot, then it wont be able to find windows 8 on my ssds?? im worried as i spent alot of money on this, whats the worst it could be?? ssds broke?

Ah, didn't know you also had a HDD, that wasn't in earlier info. Yes that should be showing up.

What you are setting is a boot hierarchy. If the system cannot boot from the first option, then it looks to the second option. The optical drive is the first boot option in most systems; in case you ever need to boot from a CD.

While it's possible an SSD failed, it's more likely that one drive simply fell out of the raid array.

Check what vendor's bios you have and google setting up raid with your bios. Make sure the raid controller is enabled in your BIOS.

One thing, make sure to use a re-establishing the array option. DO NOT CHOOSE REBUILD THE ARRAY
