I have been getting a lot of crashes lately I updated to 8.1 pro not too long ago.but this was happened a couple times before I installed. My system keeps freezing then I get an error code telling me windows has to shut down and restart again. At first the error was "invalid pool header" I thought it was probably a HDD error so I used DskChk and it came up clean. But then when it happened again it said "memory management" So I thought O.K. it must be a bad memory stick. I cleaned out the memory and ran a check on it it came up clean. I ran the one that starts at boot up. It then happened again I forgot the error code but I know it was not the same as the other 2 I looked it up and it said it had something to do with my SSD well again I ran crystaldisk it came up perfect. I am currently running Malware Bytes I have uninstalled about 4 3rd party programs I kept the ones I have had no problems with in the past. This is my 3rd time running it. It caught some stuff on the first one then 2 more on the second one, So Im thinking it was a virus.

I was wondering if anyone else has had an issue like this, and if its not a virus how do I go about fixing this strange issue?

I'll check on that, I havent had one since my 3rd malware bytes scan. But I have had some terrible crashes Ive had to re-install 3 times in a week. Good idea about the mobo drivers and stuff.

Well I don't think you helped me with the weird shut-down factor, BUT you did help me with the stability factor by telling me to check for the drivers and BIOS. Well Yeah I missed a bunch of stuff it all came out either in october-november of this year. I got 8 dl's going. Hey at least its all at one time instead of constantly needing to update the whole year. So thanks my friend 'preciate it.
