Hey guys, so I'm thinking about going with this gaming build right here and was hoping to get a little help. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2hfFV I found those memory sticks on newegg, 8gb for ~50 so I was hoping to get one of those. Only problem is that neither are listed as being compatible on the Asus website, the motherboard has a pretty limited list. I'm trying to keep my budget low so should I just go with those sticks or get a 4gb kit that I know is compatible?

I was thinking this as an alternative

Also I have a 1680 x 1050 monitor so would that graphics card be overkill or can I get by with something like a 7790? And was really trying to save money so was planning on wiping an old hard drive I have. Also I'm choosing that motherboard because it comes free with the CPU at microcenter.

Any help, advice, or tips would be much appreciated!

I HIGHLY recommend changing your PSU. Your RAM is good, but your power supply is really bad. If that PSU fails, it can damage other components. I recommend one from either Corsair, PC Power and Cooling, or Seasonic.

What do you think I should do about the graphics card? Worth the money for an R9 270? Sucks cuz all the 7850 and 7870's that were at a decent price are now sold out

I would personally go for the 7870, but its going to be sold out for a long time because of idiotic bitcoin miners that fail profits (I'm sorry that I'm really biased against them because I have a dedicated ASIC machine that mines.)
