I have the razer electra headset and asrock z87 extreme 6 motherboard.

I bought a new monitor for my pc to watch bluray movies.

Can i get a much better sound if i install a sound card ? If so , reccomend one below 80euros.

Thanks !

probably not. generally you need to have pretty high end equipment for it to make a difference. unless you have surround sound speaker system or you have several hundred dollar headphones then the difference wont be much at all. so just save your money and use the onboard which is plenty good

Fine. I was asking because when i raise the vlc volume to full , the sounds loses its quality.

VLC volume can do this because it can go OVER 100%(and tries to avoid clipping or at least it supposed to). No sound card will help that.

As long as you do not have hissing or other annoying sounds. Onboard should be ok for you.

Some cards may sound "better" or even "worse" depending on the person doing the listening.

It is just what you think it is. You could solder a cable to it and use it for other things, but yeah, it is just what you see.

What does he need loads of outputs for? Running 2 sets of speakers(analog) with a Y cable would not be an issue. If they wanted to go with headphones and such, a headphone amps would be ideal(again more than one with a Y cable would work).

It is best to start your own thread as this problem is not related to this thread.
