Hello

I am having the same problem that I have witnessed in many other people's experiences on the net....bought Fallout 3, installs fine, but when New Game is clicked it brings up the error screen and I can't get past it. I wondered if my video card is meeting the recommended requirements (ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5450). Thanks for your time.

Did you get the game from steam? If you are running windows 8, try to start the game in windows 7 compatible mode.

You should be able to play on low or medium settings. You probably will encounter some random stuttering, which is mainly because the developers didn't optimise the games for AMD cards, so you are warned.

'steam'? I bought it from Game, the store. Also, "the developers didn't optimise the games for AMD cards, so you are warned" ...so my card is an 'AMD' one you say. So maybe id be better off changing my card?

Thank you. I will change my card to a 'gaming' card as you suggest, since I want to play games! I started on PCs, then went to PlayStation for many years. Now I tink a return to the PC is warranted. Cheers for advice.

actually mate, having just researched, it's looking like it's nigh-on impossible to upgrade my laptop's video card. What do you think of that
