So i just bought a new asus p8z77-v motherboard and when i start it up nothing shows up on the screen. I replaced all my old parts and put them on the new Mobo. I went to the asus website and downloaded the bios to do the bios flashback but that wont even install correctly. Please help!!!
Specs:
-i5-3570k
-gtx 660
-segate 1 terabyte HDD
-8gb of ram
and a cooler master 700 watt power supply
The HDD and RAM comes from an old computer. The HDD already has an OS on it(Windows 7) along with all my old programs.

Do you have the 8 pin CPU power cable connected, as well as the 24 pin cable?
Are there any indicator lights on the board when you try to power it up?
Do the fans spin when the MB is powered up?
Are you sure you have the polarity (+/-) of the main power button correctly connected to the motherboard?

After that you might need to test the power supply to see if it is good (using a power supply tester).
Could you have bent a pin on the CPU when installing it?
Could you have inadvertently discharged a static shock to the motherboard while mounting the components?

If you are sure you did everything right, and you still can't get it to power up, it is time to take it to a local shop. They will be able to diagnose the problem and help you out.

Might be worth listing the DRAM kit part number.

Try a single memory module only. Make sure the module latches into both sides of each slot (you wil here it click into place). A lot of people get caught out by the EZ slots and fail to insert the memory modules properly..
