My computer is making this really fast clicking noise. It instantly changes depending on my load and I noticed one of the head sinks on my mobo being hot enough to burn my finger. Any thoughts? thanks

Solution

Try removing your GPU and use integrated graphics? If it's your GPU, then RMA it or try to replace it. If it's from the motherboard, then that's going to be much harder to solve.

its not the hard drive, its coming from the motherboard area. I thank it might be coil whine from my gpu but it is much slower and lower pitched than any coil whine I have heard from videos.

I don't have integrated graphics sadly. I am almost positive that it is my gpu and I will be getting a new one soon so hopefully that will fix the problem. I can't RMA it since every singe model is out of stock except for one, but that one is going for more than double the retail price since my graphics card, the R7950 turns out to be really good for litecoin mining and is going for $400+ instead of $180-$200. Thanks for your help.
