I recently bought an ssd and i'm trying to optimize windows 7 for it. I'm trying to reduce as many writes as possible on my ssd and the appdata folder seems to be writing a fair amount. I'm not familiar with junctions and I cant seem to find anything online about it. Can someone please help me create a junction for Appdata from my ssd (C:\) to my other hdd (N:\)?

Thank you,

You need to use the windows mklink command or use third party software. Scroll down to the mklink section of this article.

So I just right click the appdata folder, make a shortcut, move the original folder to drive (N:\), then leave the shortcut in the original location?

Because I tried that and it didn't work :??:
