Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z Motherboard not playing audio via headphones?

I have 2 sets of headhpones, one uses a usb. The other uses a headphones jack. Whats weird is when I plug in the USB headphones, it plays no problem. Was there a special thing I had to plug in ffrom the case to the mobo?
 
Solution
You should have the option to zoom in so you can see more clearly in the .pdf file.

You should have an audio cable coming from your case that you have not yet connected. Have you found it? Once you have found it, plug it into your motherboard header that page 1-42 is showing. It's the one on the bottom, far left side.

Cant quite read the font, i see that its pointing to the very bottom though. Thats where I plugged in the case power on LEDs etc etc. What exactly am I looking for, can you describe it?

Okay, update - the plug that says HD Audio (not the '97) is connected to the most far left bottom connector. In the Bios we have Front Panel Settings set to HD Audio (not the '97). Under device manager it says it has the drivers for it. I'm starting to think its just a faulty case?


Side note - since the USB works, does a 2.mm to USB transformer mess with the audio quality?
