Hi! So as the title says i have a very old Compaq Presario SR1834NX desktop with a GeForce 8500GT video Card. I want to upgrade the desktop but like the normal person i am tight on cash. Its going to be used for web surfing, watching videos, and a very little bit of gaming. So i want something that has high video quality and a fast processor. What would be my best options? would replacing the motherboard, video card, or adding ram help? or should i just buy a new computer? and if buying a new computer would be best, what is the best one to buy? the game i am trying to play right now is Anno 2070 which i believe needs a good video card.

id sell that box and saveup for a better computer but depends how long u can wait. with 350-400$ i could build u something nice.

right now i am looking around 250 with a possibilty of selling the compaq. this also isn't something that needs to be done right away, waiting and saving more is an option just don't want to wait to long.
