Hey guys I just made an account because I can't find an answer because I'm having so many problems its not even funny. I am pretty noobish but I thought updating my graphics card would be a simple plug n play. I have a cyberpower gamer ultra 2098 and I bought a gtx 760 on Black Friday to give me some better performance on bf3 and other games. So unknowingly I plugged the gtx in and ran it without adding power because the radeon 6670 powers off the mother board. The power supply wasnt modular. The fans would fire up but got no signal from the monitor. So I turned it off and needed a new power supply. Friend had a 1000w which turned out to be broken wouldn't load a signal to the monitor with either graphics card. So w.e bought a cx 750m powered that up. Gtx still sent no signal to the monitor so rma'd it and waiting on another one. So pissed off went home and put the 6670 back in. Powered up and now I have a coil squeal. Sounds like a broken baby monitor, deleted all the drivers and reinstalled them still makes the sound. Also on top of that my wireless router broke so I put the old power supply in same problem so I changed the voltage and that blew up. So I'm completely lost. At this point waiting on my new card and getting rid of this noise. Plays sound but after 5 mins it'll cut out and the noise doesn't go up and down with volume.

That's why you never NEVER start messing around with things you don't really know. So you now have a dead monitor and psu, and you have a gpu rma'd?

well i'm not going to bother trying to help you trouble shoot the problems you caused, but what you need is a psu with the proper connectors, i think it's 2 6 pins for a 760. not that hard. just make sure you got those 2 things.

The real issue is the sound. Everything works, haven't gotten the new card in yet but I have the 6 and 8 pin ready to go. It was inexperience, but live and learn.

Trying the broken PSU may have fried things.
In any case, start by reinstalling your audio drivers if you are having sound issues. It may seem silly but I had an audio problem some time back and reinstalling the drivers fixed it.
