I am looking for recommendations for a home server, to replace 7 year old IBM x445.
It needs to run Windows Server 2008 R2 (already have license)
Needs to have 8TB of HDD space for media streaming (does not have to be that fast, 5400rpm drives are fine)
4-8GB RAM
Also will be used as a MySQL, Active Directory and Exchange 2010 server. (all this is for home use, and runs fine on a core 2 duo with 2gb ram)
Needs to be relatively quiet.
Should I buy a ready made server, or build a server?
And if I should buy a server, can some models/brands be recommended please.
