I've been wanting to add another video card to my computer for quite some time now. I've eventually gotten something that I think will suit my needs, a Galaxy nvidia GT620. There were some original complications like the 6 beeps after installation issue (which I hopefully resolved by switching to Legacy mode), lack of power (Added a new 400w PSU to serve it). Now that the card is finally working, I open a game expecting a higher frame rate and visual experience, but I actually end up with the same frames and less frame stability than what I usually get using my integrated card. Keep in mind I kept the game setting the same for both cards.
Here's what my computer consists of:
HP Pavilion
AMD Quad-Core A8-5500 Processor 3.2 ghz
8GB RAM
Integrated AMD Radeon HD 7560D
(New Card) GT 620
400w PSU
I thought that maybe there might be bottle-necking but I'm not sure. Is there something I'm missing? Any help would be appreciated. At this point, removing the card altogether is seeming like a logical thing to do.
