Access denied on Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex 1TB, pls help!!

i have an external harddrive Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex 1TB. it stopped giving me access as i wrongly manipulated the right click, properties, security and took off all the allowing accesses, it sound silly, as it was really stupid. now, when plugged my computer shows " Access denied, you need to format" I have 8 years of research in this hard drive, my computer is a Windows XP. thx for your help in advance:)

Can't you even get back into the right-click "Properties" box for that drive so you can restore the permissions?
Try logging on to the default "Administrator" account and then try changing the permissons back to what they were.
That account is hidden by default in normal mode so you need to start Windows in Safe Mode.
Then it should appear on the login screen.
