pretty much the title. I have enough in my budget to either a) go 780 classified SLI and water cool them, and overclock them as much as possible. OR i could buy two 780ti classified and leave them on air. I'm struggling over this, any suggestions? ( I game at 1440p@120hz)

well 2 top end graphic cards will produce a lot of heat, so if you don't give a crap go watercooled, it will make a significant difference in the life span of the cards and temps.

This is a close call, but I would go for the GTX 780's on water, as they have much greater overclocking potential, especially with water cooling, that will compensate for the GTX 780Ti stock performance+mild overclock.

you know, doing the math two 780 classifieds under watercooling is STILL 300 cheaper than 780ti classis air cooled. i dunno. I might have to agree with you and think that the watercooling + overclocks will be fine. anyone else?
