My phone is not working unless connected to charger

My goes off unless i put it back on Charger.
on fully charged when detached from power cord, It will start normally for 2 -3 seconds and as soon as display screen comes it will shut down.

Chances are your battery is dead, and voltage drops below what the phone needs to run after a few seconds of discharging. Search eBay/Amazon for a new battery for your model phone and buy it.

We can't really help you though without knowing what your phone is and whether the battery is even replaceable (it's not, for example, on iPhone 5+ without some really specialized tools).
